Luncheonette Pancakes with Bowie and Jeff, 2009

Originally conceived by Bowie and Jeff as a surreal and generous performance piece and counter-top sculpture, this morphed in other years into the staff serving up campers and festival attendees pancakes for free on Sunday mornings. People would wait in the auction ring seating, watching cartoons curated by Josh Frankel, and the come in when they called. Breanne Trammel designed and silk screened the interactive menus on the counter top and Bowie hand painted all the plates and cups. Lots of the coffee mugs and plates are still kicking around the residency houses with their beautiful "L" painted on.
