The Art Nest

The Art Nest is a drop-in artmaking space and classroom in Maxon Mills. Stop in every Saturday from 12–5 PM for a new project from our Lead Educator, Emi Night! Students are also welcome to make use of our full materials library to pursue their own projects.

Past projects have included:

  • Polymer clay bee cups
  • Custom Valentine's Day cards
  • Hula hoop weaving
  • Fall foliage mobiles and prints
  • Paper mache

Please note that the Art Nest is a drop-in, not a drop-off space. Parents are expected to remain with their children at all times. Also, if you’re able, please consider making a $10 donation to the Art Nest when you sign in. We are committed to the Art Nest remaining free and accessible to all, but are only able to sustain this effort through targeted grants and community-driven donations. Your contributions will go directly to materials and staffing in the nest.

Our thanks go out to the Ahmed-Schnepf family for renovating the nest in 2019.
