Who
On Saturday May 20, from 4–6 pm, Super-Stories will host a free outdoor painting workshop with the Wassaic Project for kids of all ages. We will use acrylic and non-toxic spray paint to explore new techniques on wood, both individually and collaboratively. How does painting with a brush feel compared to a spray can? Why do artists create public art? Kids will have the opportunity to create small wood-cut paintings, as well as work on larger freeform temporary murals on plywood. All are welcome! Please note that we are not using washable paint, so art-friendly clothing is recommended!
Super-Stories is a registered 501(c)3 non profit focusing on community storytelling through public art, educational workshops, and artist partnerships. Super-Stories was launched in 2022 by Grace Lang and Ramiro Davaro-Comas in the Hudson Valley. Grace is an American multimedia artist and educator. A deep understanding of the link between creative expression and identity development informs her work facilitating art-making workshops for children, often with a focus on exploring personal narratives. Ramiro is an Argentine/American artist with a background in public art and artist residency management. His passions for painting, storytelling, and community work have pushed him to travel throughout his career, collaborating with artists around the world. Both Grace and Ramiro love exposing kids to new techniques and materials, especially when that means leaving their mark in a public space.

Revolution is in the air. Lights dim, decorum fades, and chants of “La Beauté Es Dans La Rue” rise. Join us and the Capricorn Dream Sound Machine for a late-night dance party, included with every benefit ticket.
