Rock Band Camp

Cost

$450

Where

Maxon Mills
37 Furnace Bank Road
Wassaic, NY 12592

When

July 10 to July 14, 2023
9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Who

Rising 6th–12th graders

Join the Wassaic Project Rock Band! Students will learn the fundamentals of pop-rock n’ roll performance and gain an introductory understanding of audio-engineering. Camp leaders are Tim Love Lee: musician, DJ, owner and founder of Tummy Touch Records, and 36th-best trip hop producer of all time; and Chris May: multi-instrumentalist and member of touring rock n’ roll band Mail the Horse. For instrumentalists and singers, some musical experience is necessary — bringing your own instrument is highly encouraged. Please have your student make a quick video introducing themselves, explaining their interests, and demonstrating musical ability. If your child does not play an instrument but is interested in recording music, running live audio production, video, lighting, set design, or any other aspect of live and studio performance, they are still invited to sign up. If our staff is not able to accommodate a camper, you will be notified and your fee will be fully refunded.

Before the first day of camp:

1) Fill out the registration and payment information below.

2) Read and sign our photo release.

3) Ask your pediatrician to complete this medical form. (Please note that proof of vaccination is required. We will continue to evaluate the COVID-19 risk in our area and refer to CDC guidelines for our camps.)

·  ·  ·

We’re committed to making sure our education programming is accessible to everyone who wants to participate. If the cost of camp presents a significant financial burden, reach out to jill@wassaicproject.org and we'll be happy to offer a full or partial scholarship.
