2016 Film SHORTS PROGRAM
This year there will be two short film programs curated by Jason Sondhi, founder of SHORT OF THE WEEK. The first program will be a mix of documentary and narrative shorts, while the second, on Sunday, will be appropriate for kids ages four and up.

Concerning the Bodyguard

An omniscient narrator questions the thoughts and loyalties of a bodyguard entrusted with the protection of an important and dubious leader.
US /6min. (EJ McLeavey-Fischer) – A short documentary exploring the life of dogs in New York city through the lens of Instagram canine photographer and author Elias Weiss Friedman aka The Dogist (@thedogist).
UK /9min. (Kasia Nalewajka) – Pineapple Calamari dreams of being a horse racing champion. He lives with two inseparable women who share a very special connection. But when tragedy befalls this happy family, their social dynamic takes a drastic turn to the unexpected.
USA/15 min. (Bridey Elliot) – A comedy about isolation and loneliness, Affections follows a young woman, adrift, seeking intimacy in the most unlikely places.
